Lake Bridgeport Fishing Report from TPWD (Sep. 16)

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 83-86 degrees; 1.42 low. Black bass are fair on jigs, red or maroon craws, and Texas-rigged plastic worms in 16-28’ fishing deeper docks, main lake points with near rip rac, drop-offs, and secondary points. Crappie are fair on minnows, and jigs tipped with minnows fishing bridges, timber, and brush piles. White bass are slow on slabs on main lake drop-offs, flats, and channels. Hybrid stripers are fair on main lake humps and points with live bait and heavy spoons. Catfish are fair on cut bait and prepared bait in 14-24’’.
