Lake Bridgeport

Fishing Report from TPWD (Jun. 19)

GOOD. Water normal stained; 85 degrees; 9.08 feet below pool. All ramps are open, expect increased traffic as we close in on Independence Day. Crappie are great on minnows and jigs around main lake brush piles have been best. Getting some reports of crappie around the U.S. 380 bridge also. Largemouth bass have been good early on topwater baits, then switch to finesse baits around cover and docks as the sun rises. As the lake gets clearer and warmer, do not be afraid to lighten up your tackle for spooky fish. Hybrids and sand bass have been active around the main lake structure. Chartreuse slabs and live bait have been putting them in the boat. Report by Keith Bunch, Lake Bridgeport Guide Service.
